The pressurised blue flame is not knocked over by wind and points like a dart: it lights the tinder, not the smoker.
01 · HOW TO USE IT
Slowly on the trigger, and onto the tinder
It is a gas lighter with a pressurised outlet, not a match: the trigger is pressed slowly and all the way, not in jabs. With the flame at its lowest, aim at a piece of jute, paper or a handful of loose fuel in the bottom of the smoker; once there is an ember, take it away and carry on with the bellows until the smoke is white and cool. The nozzle stays hot for a while: do not touch it and do not put it away straight after use.
02 · REFILLING
Lighter butane, through the valve in the base
It travels without gas for safety and is refilled like any gas lighter: with the universal butane can for lighters, upside down, a few seconds against the valve in the base. Then wait a few minutes before igniting. Away from any flame when refilling, never in the sun inside the car, and if it smells of gas, do not light it: ventilate and check the valve.
03 · BEFORE YOU BUY
You receive the lighter with its lanyard, without gas. The butane can is bought separately.
