This queen storage cage with bees is designed to preserve a queen along with approximately 50 to 70 bees in a hive until her birth or shortly before it, for artificial insemination. The cage also serves to store a queen cell (in the cup holder support) with bees until its birth in a hive and then to artificially inseminate it or introduce it into a nuc for mating. The feeder compartment (cone) can hold dense syrup or sugary paste to feed the bees.
How to use:
Place the open cage with the queen cell in the hive (the gate slides upwards).
Close the box with the glass, the bees will remain inside with the queen cell.
Place the food (in the cone) if necessary for the bees to feed.
The queen with her bees can be transported a few days before birth for artificial insemination or to be introduced into a nucleus for fertilization.
