Pollen cleaner with air, made of carbon steel to clean the pollen grains. It must be complemented with a sieve before going through the cleaner, since this machine only cleans the particles smaller than the pollen grain itself.
Air pollen cleaner, built in carbon steel in Salamanca. Speed regulator, adjustable feed hopper with two gates and two product outlets. Low-consumption motor on 220 V.
It separates by weight: the light stuff goes, the grain drops. That cleans the pollen, but it does not leave it ready to sell. Worth knowing where its job ends.
01 · HOW IT SEPARATES
The pollen goes in through the hopper and crosses an air stream that carries away everything lighter than a pellet: legs, wings and dust leave through the large mouth, and the grain falls clean.
The speed regulator is what you adjust on every batch. Drier pollen is lighter and needs less air; too much and product goes out with the waste. The rule is to start low and work up, watching what comes out.
02 · THE TWO OUTLETS
As well as cleaning, it grades: the adjustable hopper and its two gates send fine grain out of one outlet and clean product out of the other.
That lets you separate the small calibre — often destined for milling or formulation — from whole presentation pollen, without a second pass.
03 · WHAT IT DOES AND DOES NOT DO
This machine removes impurities. What it does not do is dry the pollen, nor settle on its own whether it can be sold.
Freshly harvested pollen runs at 20-30 % moisture and ferments if left that way. Before this machine come freezing or drying — and drying stays below 40-45 °C, because above that it degrades — and after it come final sieving, checking and packing. The cleaner is one step in the line, not the line.
04 · ORDER MATTERS
Damp pollen does not fly the same: it weighs more, it clumps, and air separation stops being precise. Running it through here before drying gives a worse result and fouls the machine.
So the order that works is harvest, dry or freeze, clean, sieve. The sieve cleaner is its natural companion and comes afterwards.
05 · CARBON STEEL
The body is carbon steel, not stainless. With a dry product like pollen that works well and keeps the machine affordable, but it means keeping it dry: no hosing it down and no storing it in a damp room.
It is cleaned dry, with air or a brush, and put away under cover. It is made in Salamanca, so spares and support do not come from another continent.
06 · BEFORE YOU BUY
Check you have drying or freezing already sorted: without that, the cleaner neither performs nor leaves the pollen sellable.
