A bottom ventilated by a small opening at the back is the perfect solution to balance ventilation and insulation in a Dadant/Langstroth 10 frame beehive. Thanks to the rear ventilation bottom, it offers bees ventilation windows while maintaining a good temperature in the hive.
By installing this partially ventilated bottom board, the beekeeper also chooses the quality of a beekeeping product made in France by Nicotplast which does not involve any chemical treatment. It is made of recyclable food-grade plastic with smooth, non-porous and non-deformable surfaces. We also note the presence of non-slip notches to fix the hive to the ground and of a groove which reinforces the hive bottom and which makes it possible to easily install a partition.
