Benefits of our plastic frames:
- No assembly required. Just take the on-piece frame and foundation out of the box and put them in your supers.
- FDA food grade plastic resin.
- Ideal for use with automated uncappers and extractos, or hand uncappers.
- Impervious to wax moths, rodents and hive beetles.
- Consistent and uniform cell depth.
- Superior strength and quality.
If you want to wax plastic frames yourself you can either dip them in molten wax (temperature 60-70⁰C) or wax them using a roll dipped into molten wax. TIP: The plastic frames can be disinfected in a solution of caustic potash 5% at 80⁰C.
