Detalles de Mini mating nuc APIDEA®
The is mating nuc is made of high-density brown polystyrene with a thickness of 2 cm, provides optimum insulation generating perfect interior conditions for both warm and cold environments. Apidea nuc is easily transportable, hygienic and very practical to clean. It is equipped with 3 plastic frames and a transparent inner lid with an opening for the introduction of the queen cell. The bottom can be easily removed and the taphole is sliding. It is equipped with a sliding entrance. The non-slip feeder is removable. Comes with a ventilation mesh and two queen excluders. Just 100 grams of bees is enough!
HOW TO USE IT
Assemble the frames, place transparent innercover, queen excluder and grids in position.Proceed to fill the feeder and close the mating nuc. Open the sliding bottom to introduce approximately 100g of nurses bees (around a soup spoon). Gently sprinkle a little water on the bees to prevent them from escaping. Close the bottom, rotate the nuc in the correct position and then place it in a shaded place.
After 40 - 50 minutes, introduce a mature royal cell or a young queen just born, through the lid opening. The ventilation grille above the inlet should be sprayed with water several times a day.
After 10 to 14 days, the queen will be mated. If you want to extend the space, you can remove the feeder and put two frames in place.
