Usage and Applications
Honey crystallization is a natural process that occurs when sugars, mainly glucose, form solid crystals. This phenomenon can make honey handling and bottling difficult, which is why decrystallization is a common practice in professional beekeeping. The Dana THERMA heater is used to warm honey evenly and safely, returning it to its liquid state without affecting its natural properties.
Simply place the heater in the drum or ripener with crystallized honey, plug it into a 220V power outlet, and adjust the thermostat between 30 °C and 85 °C as needed. In a few hours, the honey will be ready to be bottled or transferred. It is also ideal for maintaining honey at the optimal temperature during bottling campaigns, preventing it from solidifying over extended periods.
Technical Advantages
• 1500W Power: Perfect for working with large volumes of honey.
• Adjustable thermostat: You can set the temperature between 30 and 85 °C, ensuring precise control.
• Durable material: Stainless steel ensures long-lasting durability and corrosion resistance.
• Ergonomic design: Features a convenient handle for easy handling and positioning over the drums.
Dimensions and Specifications
• Diameter: 530 mm (+/-10 mm), ideal for honey drums and ripeners over 54 cm.
• Height: 121 cm.
• Weight: 6.8 kg.
• Voltage: 220V, 6.3A.
Decrystallization Methods
There are several ways to decrystallize honey. The immersion heater, like the Dana THERMA, is ideal for beekeepers looking for a quick and efficient solution, as it directly heats the honey, speeding up the melting process. Other methods include heating blankets, which warm the drum externally without direct contact with the honey, or warming chambers, where drums are heated in a controlled environment. However, for large volumes and tight schedules, the immersion electric heater remains one of the most effective options.
Warranty and Quality
Manufactured in Denmark, this heater comes with a 5-year warranty, ensuring its reliability and durability. It is the preferred choice for beekeepers seeking high-quality equipment that keeps honey in top condition without compromising its natural properties.
This electric heater is your best ally to maximize efficiency in honey extraction and bottling, saving time and effort in every campaign.
