Dana Api Melter
Detalles de Dana Api Melter
Details of Multifunction DANA Api Melter
This multifunction bench is designed with the highest quality to meet various needs of the beekeeper. Made of double-walled stainless steel, it ensures durability and efficiency. It has two heating elements: a powerful hot air fan in the lid (80°C) and a resistance system in the bottom (40°C), both independently adjustable.
Main Applications:
• Separating cappings from honey:
Capacity for 80 - 100 kg of cappings per batch. Although the capacity is larger, we recommend this amount to ensure optimal performance and proper heat circulation.
Processing time: 4-5 hours at 40-50°C.
Efficient honey separation without melting the cappings, avoiding HMF increase and preserving honey quality.
Ideal for overnight operation, obtaining honey ready for packaging and marketing.
• Melting wax into blocks:
Capable of melting cerón, combs, and other types of wax.
Also ideal for melting dried cappings, transforming them into wax blocks.
• Heating frames with crystallized or dense honey:
Perfect for honeys like heather, facilitating extraction or melting.
• Heating honey buckets and jars:
Effective for decrystallizing honey in different containers.
• Melting old frames:
Efficient and quick process to renew beekeeping equipment.
• Uncapping bench:
Versatile utility as an uncapping workbench.
• Melting cappings with honey:
Cappings can be melted along with honey at temperatures above 65°C.
This process allows wax and honey to separate by decantation due to their different weights.
Liquid wax is poured into molds to form blocks, while separated liquid honey can be collected.
It is important to note that this process can increase HMF levels in the honey due to the high temperatures required to melt the wax.
Main Use for Melting Cappings:
The DANA Api Melter is especially useful for separating cappings from honey. Its capacity to handle between 80 and 100 kg of cappings in a cycle of 4-5 hours at 40-50°C makes it ideal for overnight extraction, ensuring that the honey is collected without melting the cappings and without increasing HMF levels. The extracted honey can be packaged and marketed directly, maximizing the efficiency and profitability of the process.
At the end of the season, the equipment can also be used to melt accumulated wax, although some prefer to melt dried cappings in a steam boiler to avoid dirtying the machine.
Technical Data:
• Internal dimensions: 99 x 49 x 34 cm
• Power supply: 2.3 W/ 230 V
• Weight: 59 kg
Conclusion:
The Multifunction DANA Api Melter is an indispensable tool for the professional beekeeper. Its multifunctional capacity allows working the entire wax cycle, uncapping, and heating honey with a single device, offering a quickly amortizable investment thanks to the recovery of high-quality honey from the cappings.
