01 · IT EMBOSSES WHAT ANOTHER MACHINE MADE

And that is why it needs no cooling water

Unlike a complete foundation station, this machine does not start from molten wax but from an already formed band. The practical consequence is direct: it has no water-cooled rollers and therefore does not drag along the cold-flow installation that the earlier part of the line does require.

What it does carry is a stainless wax band heater, so the wax reaches the roller at the right point to take the embossing.

02 · 0-85 °C: THE TOP IS THE LIMIT

Exactly where wax starts to darken

The heater thermostat runs from 0 to 85 °C, and that maximum is worth reading against what we know about wax: it melts between 62 and 65 °C and starts darkening precisely from 85.

In other words, the top of the scale coincides with the point you do not want to reach. The work is done well below it, in the zone where wax is plastic and takes the embossing without losing colour.

03 · 5.4 MM CELL

The standard, at 1.45 mm depth

Embossing is the standard 5.4 mm cell, some 800 cells per square decimetre, at 1.45 mm depth. Rollers are 480 × 85 mm.

There is also the HA610 version, with 610 × 140 mm rollers, for anyone needing more working width. If that is your case, ask us about it.

04 · ELECTRONIC CUT AND SOLVENT

Four pairs of knives and the release agent

The cutter is attached, with electronic length adjustment and four pairs of round knives. The length is chosen and the machine repeats it; the width is set by the knife positions.

It carries its own solvent tank with pump: without a release agent the wax sticks to the roller and the embossing is ruined. Five litres of concentrate are supplied, biodegradable under Regulation (EC) 648/2004, at 20-30 ml per 10 litres of water.

05 · THREE PHASE, THREE KILOWATTS

And 1.4301 steel everywhere it touches

The motor is 400 V three phase with an electronic speed control unit, and the band heater is 3 kW, also three phase. It is the least demanding of the three machines in the line as far as installation goes.

Both the rollers and the heater vessel are stainless steel 1.4301, the European designation for AISI 304. German built by Rietsche.
