VespaCatch Select® - Selective Trap for Vespa orientalis and velutina
Discover the effectiveness and precision of the VespaCatch SELECT trap, an innovative solution in the fight against Vespa velutina and Vespa orientalis wasps. Designed exclusively for beekeepers and nature lovers looking to protect their hives and gardens without harming other pollinators.
Detalles de VespaCatch Select® - Selective Trap for Vespa orientalis and velutina
✿ First trap with adjustable selection: This unique feature allows you to adjust the size of the exits (between 7 and 11 mm) to specifically capture Asian and Oriental wasps, minimizing the risk to other insects. This adjustability sets it apart from other traps on the market, offering precise and selective control.
✿ Advanced and effective design: Use our special VespaCatch attractant liquid (see accessories) to maximize the capture of target wasps, ensuring an effective lure without harming other ecosystem inhabitants.
✿ High-quality manufacturing in France: Committed to excellence and innovation, we offer a robust and durable product.
Tips for effective use:
· Strategic location: Place the trap in areas frequented by wasps, such as near hives, gardens, or pools. Opt for heights of 1.5 to 3 meters or close to the ground to protect the hives.
· Monitoring and adjustment: Check and adjust the position and baits of the trap according to wasp activity to ensure maximum effectiveness.
· Waiting time: A few hours of waiting time is required for the traps to capture wasps.
· Change of location: If the traps do not work, it is advisable to change their location.
· Efficient trapping: Conduct trapping when temperatures exceed 15 ºC and in frequent passageways of the Asian wasp.
· Minimal maintenance: For greater efficiency, do not clean the trap when renewing the attractant solution and leave a dead wasp in the trap after renewal.
Usage recommendations based on wasp activity:
Low activity: 1 trap for every 2 hives.
Moderate activity: 1 trap per hive.
High activity: 3 traps for every 2 hives.
Respect for biodiversity:
Our system allows non-targeted wasps to escape, reducing accidental captures. It is essential not to use insecticides in the baits to avoid environmental damage and harm to beneficial insects.
Critical periods of trapping:
· From February to May: To capture queens looking to form new colonies. Sugary attractants are very effective during this period.
· From July to November: When wasps seek proteins for reproduction. Experiment with different types of protein-rich baits to find the most attractive combination in your area.
With the VespaCatch SELECT trap, commit to responsible and effective wasp management, protecting your hives and contributing to ecological balance.
