When you arrive at the apiary and see the Asian hornet (Vespa velutina) circling around the hive entrance, you know your bees are in danger. Electric harps have become one of the most effective defenses, but to really work you need a reliable system that keeps them active every day, without surprises.

This Anti Velutina Kit is designed precisely for that: to power and manage up to 10 electric harps simultaneously, with an output of 2200 VDC that ensures effective discharges against the hornet. The system runs on a 12V 7Ah battery, automatically recharged by a 20W polycrystalline solar panel with an anodized aluminum frame for durability.

At the heart of the system is a timer, pre-set to operate between 08:00 and 21:00, matching the hornet’s peak activity. If needed, it allows up to 16 different on/off combinations throughout the season. The clock battery has extended capacity, ensuring autonomy even after long periods without use, and it includes a 12V external input to connect an additional battery in parallel for extra autonomy or quick recharging at any time.

All components are housed in an IP55 weatherproof box, protecting electronics from dust and moisture. The kit also integrates a short-circuit safety system: if one harp fails or shows a fault, the system shuts down and restarts every 20–30 minutes, preventing damage and making it easy for the beekeeper to detect the issue.

Thanks to its integrated thermal protection, it does not require a rain sensor, avoiding false disconnections and ensuring stable performance.

Installation is simple: just connect the harps, orient the solar panel, and let the system work. At the end of the season, remember to keep the battery charged—either via the solar panel or through the external input—so the kit is always ready when you need it again.
