Detalles de Plastic Drone excluder 500x500 mm
Grid that excludes drones and has openings approximately 5.2 mm in diameter. It will only allow the bees and queen through, but not the drones. This grid is used to separate the drones from the bees in a part of the hive and to control the mating of the virgin queens.
When this grid is placed in the hive, the drones are trapped in one part, while the bees and the queen can circulate in both parts. This tool is useful for performing genetic selection and artificially mated queens, or for releasing virgin queens and drones for their mating flight.
This grid is also suitable for separating drones used for artificial insemination of queen bees. By using this grid, the origin of the drones (they are from the breeding family) is guaranteed, since the openings are too small to allow the passage of foreign drones of unknown origin.
Being plastic, it can be easily trimmed to the size you want.
