Code of Conduct for La Tienda del Apicultor

La Tienda del Apicultor is an authorized retail commercial establishment (RCE) for the sale of veterinary medicines.

Through the website, only medicines that do not require a veterinary prescription are permitted for sale.

Medicines are sold directly from the pharmacy or retail commercial establishment, with the intervention of a responsible pharmacist and without intermediaries.

Gifts, prizes, giveaways, contests, or bonuses cannot be used as means of promoting or selling medicines to the public through websites.

Orders for dispensing non-prescription veterinary medicines through distance sales must be placed directly with the pharmacy or retail commercial establishment via their website or by mail. To be valid, the order must include the following buyer contact information:

• Full name

• Phone number

• Email address

• Postal address

This information allows the pharmacist to contact the buyer if deemed necessary.

The pharmacist must assess the appropriateness of dispensing, especially in cases of:

• Requests for quantities exceeding those typically used for regular treatments

• Frequent or repeated orders

These situations may indicate possible misuse or abuse of the medicines being sold.

The transport and delivery of veterinary medicines from the pharmacy or retail commercial establishment to the buyer's indicated address shall be the responsibility of the pharmacy or the retail commercial establishment.

The pharmacy or retail commercial establishment cannot accept returns of veterinary medicines once they have been dispensed and delivered to the buyer, except for those that:

• Were supplied in error

• Do not match the order

• Were damaged during transport

• Are under quality defect alerts

• Are subject to veterinary pharmacovigilance

• Or when their withdrawal is necessary.

When the recipient is located in another Member State, distance sales can only be made if the medicine is authorized in the destination Member State and in accordance with the regulations regarding distance sales in that State and in this code.
