Steps to Make Your Own Candles
Mold Preparation
If you're working with a complex shape, spray the inside of the mold with silicone spray for easier candle demolding. Cut the wick to a length longer than the mold's height and center it inside the mold; it should be taut. The wick must run from the top to the bottom of the mold. Use a stick at the top to keep it centered. Secure the mold with rubber bands.
Pouring the Wax
Melt the wax in a pot or using our Melting Kit. The liquid wax should be at about 60°C. Slowly pour the wax to fill all spaces. The setting time depends on the silicone mold size.
Removing the Candle from the Mold
Once the wax has set, remove the rubber bands, open the mold, and carefully remove the candle. Then, remove the stick, trim the wick at the base, leaving about 1 cm at the top of the candle.
Finally, trim the bottom of the candle with a knife so that the wick end can be dipped in warm wax.
