STEPS TO MAKE YOUR OWN CANDLES
1. Mold Preparation
If you're going to make candles with a complex shape, spray the inside with silicone spray for easier demolding. Then cut the appropriate length of the wick (it should be longer than the mold's height) and place it in the center of the mold so that it remains suspended; it should be taut. The wick has to go through the mold from top to bottom. You can use a stick on top to position it in the center. The next step is to put rubber bands around the mold.
2. Pouring the Wax into the Mold
Melt the wax in a small pot or similar (we recommend using our Melting Kit). The liquid wax should be at an appropriate temperature of about 60°C. Pour the wax slowly so it reaches all the nooks. The setting time of the wax depends on the size of the silicone mold.
3. Removing the Candle from the Mold
When the wax is set, pull the elastic bands, open the mold, and carefully remove the candle. Then, remove the stick and cut the wick at the base, leaving about 1 cm at the top of the candle.
In the final step, cut the bottom part of the candle with a knife so that the wick end can be soaked in warm wax.
