Details of Silicone supplement to pour wax or honey

Before you heat anything, try it cold on your own pot: what decides whether it works is the thickness of the rim.

Silicone pouring spout that clips onto the rim of a pot, bowl or bucket. It withstands up to 200 °C.

01 · HOW IT GRIPS

By pressure, not by magic

It presses onto the rim and creates a channel that guides the stream towards the mould instead of letting the wax run down the side. It works as long as your rim fits snugly in its slot.

So the test is cold: if it sits loose on your pot, it will not hold any better with hot wax inside. On the thick rim of an industrial bucket it does not always fit.

02 · WHAT IT IS NOT

A welded spout

It is an aid, not a fixed nozzle. It wants a slow tilt: pour fast and the stream jumps the channel and spills anyway. To empty large volumes what solves it is a vessel with its own spout or a tap. It takes 200 °C, far above wax melting point: the limit is not the temperature, it is the fit.

03 · CLEANING

The slot, thoroughly

Once the wax is cold it peels away in one pull, and it takes hot water or the dishwasher. Do clear the slot properly: a film of wax between the silicone and the rim is exactly what makes it slip next time.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

A small accessory with one clear condition:
