MAKER'S REFERENCE

The ApiCera® 13820 cover ring fills the gap around the inner pot in a water-bath wax melter and helps keep wax drips from falling into the water.

It is a stainless-steel annular component with no controls or moving parts. Its documented purpose is to cover the bath, not to heat, measure temperature or replace a lid. The two published diameters let you check the fit before ordering.

01 · ACTUAL PURPOSE

Cover the exposed water bath around the wax pot

A water-bath setup leaves a ring of exposed water between the outer melter and the inner wax pot. This cover ring sits on the melter rim and surrounds the pot to close that area. It therefore intercepts splashes or wax drips that could otherwise enter the bath. It is not a filter, a watertight seal or a certified restraint: stable support still depends on every component fitting correctly.

02 · ASSEMBLY

Centre it before any heating starts

With the appliance switched off and cold, place the ring on the melter rim and check that it lies flat without rocking or distortion. Lower the compatible wax pot through the central opening and confirm that it seats as intended, with its handles clear and no need to force the metal. Fill and operate the water bath according to the melter and pot instructions. Monitor water level and temperature during use; this ring controls neither.

03 · COMPATIBILITY

Confirmed references are safer than judging by appearance

The manufacturer includes item 13820 in combination 3190 with melter 13810, the 12-litre stainless-steel wax pot 3825 and thermometer 13815. Wax pot 3825 is also expressly listed as compatible with this ring. For any other appliance, compare the actual geometry rather than only its nominal diameter: the ring is approximately 37.5 cm outside with a 29.3 cm opening. A similar-looking pan is not proof of secure support.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

This is one component, not the complete melter

This listing is for the stainless-steel ring only. The melter, wax pot, thermometer and a lid are not listed as included. No stainless grade, thickness, weight or maximum temperature is published, so these must not be assumed. Hot wax, water, steam and metal can cause burns: let the entire assembly cool before removal or cleaning and follow the protective measures specified for the main appliance.
