FRE1123 REFERENCE | SAF DRIVE |
MANUAL OPERATION | 1st CHECK FIT |
Mechanical replacement brake for the manual drive of SAF Natura honey extractors. It is used to slow the basket at the end of a run instead of simply waiting for free run-down.
Compatibility depends on the drive fitted to the extractor, not only on the SAF name or a particular frame capacity. FRE1123 is not documented as a universal part and it does not replace a complete gearbox, crank or motor conversion system.
01 · ACTUAL FUNCTION
The spare works within the manual-drive assembly mounted on the extractor's upper beam. Its job is to apply braking through that drive and reduce basket rotation. It is not an emergency stop, a parking lock or a lid interlock. Nor will it cure a stiff crank, binding gears, excess play, unusual noise or vibration. If any of those symptoms is present, stop the machine and inspect the drive before it is used again.
02 · COMPATIBILITY
The confirmed application is a SAF Natura manual drive. No manufacturer matrix has been found linking FRE1123 to specific models, years, drum diameters or capacities, so a four-, six- or larger-frame extractor is not validated by capacity alone. If the drive reference is unavailable, compare the assembly with the image and provide the extractor model and approximate year, plus clear photographs of the gearbox, crank, upper beam and fixing points. On an electric or dual-drive extractor, identify the exact assembly first: this brake does not convert a manual extractor to power drive or replace a motor brake.
03 · FITTING AND USE
Before dismantling anything, place the extractor on a stable surface, wait for the basket to stop completely and remove the frames. If the unit has a motor, controller or auxiliary power, disconnect it and prevent accidental reconnection. Installation must follow the manual for the extractor and retain the original drive geometry; where the mounting or adjustment is uncertain, use a competent service technician. During operation, keep the lid closed until the basket has stopped, keep hands and tools out, and apply the brake only as the drive instructions specify. Do not force it to overcome an unbalanced load: balance frames by weight first.
04 · BEFORE YOU BUY
The listing is for brake reference FRE1123. The photograph helps identify its position beside the drive, but it does not establish that the gearbox, crank, upper beam, fasteners, adapters or guard shown around it are supplied. Dimensions, exact material, braking torque and a verified technical weight are also not documented. If the entire drive is binding, you want to add a motor, or the extractor belongs to another generation, identify the whole assembly first: buying the brake alone will not complete those repairs or conversions.
| GOOD FIT | You are replacing the brake on a matching, identifiable SAF Natura manual drive. |
| CHECK FIRST | The reference is missing, the extractor is older or its drive differs from the image. |
| NOT A | Complete gearbox, crank, motor, power conversion or emergency-stop device. |
