The coupling sleeve is the part that joins the motor shaft to the extractor's cage shaft: without it, the motor can't transmit the spin.
It locks onto the motor shaft with a grub screw and engages the cage shaft with a pin, so both turn as one.
01 · ASSEMBLY
Made of 304 stainless steel, it shrugs off the damp and the cleaning of the honey house without rusting. The grub screw clamps the motor shaft and the notch takes the cage pin, so the assembly spins centred and free of play — exactly what keeps it from wobbling or rattling in use.
02 · BEFORE YOU BUY
The sleeve is named by two diameters — motor shaft / cage shaft — in four combinations:
· 10/14 — motor shaft Ø10, cage shaft Ø14 mm
· 10/16 — motor shaft Ø10, cage shaft Ø16 mm
· 12/14 — motor shaft Ø12, cage shaft Ø14 mm
· 12/16 — motor shaft Ø12, cage shaft Ø16 mm
The first number comes from your motor (the 80 W has an Ø10 shaft; the 110 W, Ø12). The second from your extractor: measure your cage shaft diameter (14 or 16 mm) before ordering.
